BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend will transform Burton Constable Hall

It is home to hundreds of years of history and historic portraits line the walls.
But in May, Burton Constable Hall will be transformed into a huge festival site when Radio 1's Big Weekend arrives.

Thousands of music fans will descend on the site just outside Hull to watch acts including Little Mix, Kings of Leon and Stormzy.
Three stages will be set up in the grounds of the stately home and there will be licensed bars for music fans to buy refreshments.

A helipad will also be available for the stars flying into the festival.

The hall itself is Elizabethan and the private residence still displays imposing portraits of previous owners, wall-to-ceiling bookcases and a guard dog in the shape of Florence the Scottie dog. However, the land will be transformed for the festival to allow the 25,000 people per day access to all the entertainment.
